The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) recognizes outstanding middle school students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS showcases students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, character and citizenship. Students are not only recognized for their accomplishments, they are also challenged to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

All seventh and eighth grade students who meet the requirements set out by the faculty committee at Saint Dominic’s are eligible to join the society. The induction ceremony follows the release of the first report card of the year.

In order to join, a student must receive an A in math, science, English, social studies, Spanish, religion and literature; a B or better is required in gym, art and computer. Note: If a student meets all the other requirements and has a B average in advanced math, they can be recommended for application to the National Junior Honor Society by the teacher.
